They are desperate to be like their child, and they are looking for advice, support, and the comfort of home. The next, they are pushing you out, needing space, wanting to just live their own lives. You are torn between wanting them to be supported and nurtured and wanting them to face the world.

Or maybe you are struggling to keep your family afloat while also attending to your own needs. Maybe your own needs often get overlooked, or pushed aside in sacrifice for everyone else. Perhaps it’s time for you to set better boundaries, to practice self-compassion and to discover who you really are.
